Add together people to your grouping

If you're signed in to a work or schoolhouse account, the options you see might be different. To acquire more, contact your administrator.

If you lot're a grouping owner, or if you take permission to manage members, you tin can add people to your grouping in three ways:

  • Invite someone via email
  • Add someone without getting their approval
  • Approve people who applied to bring together

Note: Invitations expire later 7 days, but requests to bring together a group never expire.

Limitations on adding people to groups

  • Maximum grouping members—A grouping can have unlimited members, so there'southward no limit to the number of people you tin can invite, add direct, or approve to join a group.
  • Child accounts—You tin can't add a user with a child Google Account to a group through any method.

Invite people to your group

  1. Sign in to Google Groups.
  2. Click the name of a group.
  3. On the left, click Members.
  4. At the top, click Add together members.
  5. At the lesser, next to Directly add members, click Turn off"".
  6. Enter the email addresses of the people to invite.
  7. (Optional) To include an invitation message, enter a bulletin.
  8. Click Send invites.
  9. To manage invitations:
    1. On the left, click Pending members.
    2. Have i of the following actions:

Add people to your group directly

When y'all add together people directly, yous tin assign them the member, manager, or owner function.

  1. Sign in to Google Groups.
  2. Click the name of a group.
  3. On the left, click Members.
  4. At the top, click Add members.
  5. Enter the email addresses of the people to invite.
  6. (Optional) To add together a welcome message to the email notification for new members, enter a bulletin.

  7. Click Add members.
    The members are added to the group, even if their names don't appear on the group fellow member list immediately.
    Note: If you try to add together a user to a group and get an error message saying that their email address is the principal, secondary, or alternate address of an existing fellow member, that user is already a group member.

Manage requests to join your group

Y'all tin view requests to join your group and accept or deny them on an individual basis.

  1. Sign in to Google Groups.
  2. Click the name of a group.
  3. On the left, click Awaiting members.
  4. Take one of the following actions:

View all members of a group

You tin can view all grouping members every bit well every bit people who have been banned from a grouping.

  1. Sign in to Google Groups.
  2. Click the name of a group.
  3. On the left, click Members.
  4. To view people who have been banned from the group, on the left, click Banned users.
